Summary

EcoVadis, the global standard for resilient, sustainable supply chains, and CO2 AI, the AI-powered sustainability intelligence platform, today announced a new partnership to help organizations accelerate their Scope 3 decarbonization efforts. This partnership combines EcoVadis' comprehensive supplier carbon ratings and primary emissions data with CO2 AI’s advanced footprinting engine, moving mutual customers beyond spend-based estimates to data-backed primary insights.

This collaboration addresses the critical need for granular, supplier-specific data in carbon accounting. While companies are under pressure to report on Scope 3.1 emissions, many remain reliant on industry averages. By integrating trusted EcoVadis carbon data directly into the CO2 AI platform, mutual customers can now identify high-impact supplier interventions, track real-world performance, and build audit-ready reporting foundations.

Mutual customers will gain:

  • Precision: Access specific supplier carbon metrics to prioritize high-impact reduction activities.
  • Agility: Track actual supplier performance changes against net-zero roadmaps.
  • Unity: Streamline data integration from primary sources to operational workflows.

“Our partnership with CO2 AI is a vital step in transforming global supply chains from sources of risk into drivers of climate resilience," said Dexter Galvin, SVP Climate at EcoVadis. “By combining our reliable supplier network with advanced AI modeling, we are empowering companies to move from estimation to action."

“Procurement teams have long been held back by the quality of their Scope 3 data " , said Charlotte Degot, CEO and co-founder at CO2 AI. “By combining EcoVadis' supplier network with CO2 AI's footprinting engine, we're giving companies the granularity they need to move from compliance reporting to real decarbonization progress.”

How the partnership unlocks seamless flow of data

A global hospitality group, that is a customer of both EcoVadis and CO2 AI, needs primary emissions data from their strategic suppliers to track their progress on their supplier decarbonisation goals. Thanks to the new partnership, the company can now access the supplier’s company and primary data through Ecovadis, directly on the CO2 AI platform.

  • Supplier data lands directly into the footprint engine. Corporate emissions data and product carbon footprints collected through EcoVadis flow directly into CO2 AI.
  • Different levels of granularity in one flow. Access both company-level data and primary emissions data from suppliers in one flow.
  • Identify high-impact supplier interventions. Replace secondary estimates with primary data, allowing real-time tracking of the most high-impact interventions with suppliers.

For procurement and sustainability teams, the advantage is enormous: Scope 3.1 built on supplier-specific data rather than averages, a clear view of which suppliers are genuinely reducing and which are not, and a reporting foundation that holds up to audit.
